Simple terms for a casual game.
Use Balooza for fun, treat other people well, and do not put private or harmful material into decks.
Using Balooza
These terms apply to the Balooza app, website, community, and related services operated by Kevin Araujo. By using an account or an online Balooza feature, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you can still use local features that do not require acceptance where the app permits it, or stop using Balooza.
Early TestFlight service
The friends-and-family version is pre-release software. Features, decks, accounts, and cloud data can change, stop, or be reset while the app is tested. The build is provided at no charge. It does not include paid plans, subscriptions, or a promise that any feature will remain available.
Your account
You are responsible for activity through your account and for keeping your Apple Account secure. Do not sell, transfer, or share access in a way that creates abuse or impersonation. Children under 13 must not create an account or publish community content.
Your decks and community posts
You keep ownership of original content you create. When you publish or share a deck, you give Kevin a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, copy, format, moderate, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve Balooza. You can remove your content or delete your account, subject to limited safety and legal retention described in the Privacy Policy.
You must have the right to share what you publish. Do not post private information, harassment, hateful or sexual content, threats, illegal instructions, spam, malware, or material that infringes another person’s rights. The Community Rules are part of these terms.
Moderation
Kevin can filter, limit, remove, or preserve content and can restrict or close accounts when reasonably needed for safety, legal compliance, service integrity, or enforcement of these terms. Reports will be reviewed as soon as practical for this small pilot. You can report content in the app or email hello@balooza.app.
AI-generated content
AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or similar to content produced for someone else. Review a generated deck before playing, publishing, or sharing it. Do not rely on Balooza for medical, legal, financial, safety, or other professional advice. You are responsible for the prompts you submit and how you use the output.
Balooza materials
Balooza’s software, brand, artwork, included decks, and original design are owned by Kevin or used with permission. These terms let you use Balooza for personal, non-commercial play. They do not let you copy the app, extract its catalog in bulk, bypass security, reverse engineer protected service code, overload the service, or use Balooza to build a competing dataset or product.
Availability and responsibility
Balooza is provided as available during the pilot, without warranties that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular event. To the extent permitted by law, Kevin is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from use of the pilot. Nothing here limits rights or responsibility that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
Ending use and changes
You can stop using Balooza or delete your account at any time. Kevin can end the pilot or suspend access when needed. Material changes to these terms will be posted here with a new effective date. These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without removing consumer rights that apply where you live.
